Houston, there’s a new tv show on Belgian television and the strange thing is that it’s actually worth watching. Man Bites Dog, you’re unique no more.

It’s called Gone With De Soete, promises to show European cities from other angles, and it airs every Thursday. First episode featured Marseille, flying rats, rolling cigs in the mistral wind, pomme-blue-mer-vert, musical buildings & a fascination for concrete and urban decay. Hints of late-night horseplay.  Clark and Battles being played for bonus points. Note the absence of animal urine, elimination votes and grumpy (cuz the script says so) BBC presenters.

Overdag Graaf Lippens, ’s nachts…

De beurscrisis heeft zelfs deze doorgaans apatische ziel wakkergeschud.  Daar is gelukkig geen diepgaande economische analyse van gekomen. Wél een impressie van het nachtleven van Maurice graaf Lippens. Met dank aan The Dark Knight & Heath Ledger, uiteraard.

Ik heb het resultaat van mijn onverwachte vlijt opgestuurd naar drie redacties. Evenveel keer raden hoeveel respons er kwam. Juist, ja.  UGC, waarvoor stond dat weer?

Op www.destrafstestudent.be gaat vanaf 15 oktober een intergalactische kenniskamp van start tussen alle Vlaamse studenten.  Tot dan kan je oefenen op de site.  De uitvoering van de quiz lijkt sterk op die van de muziekquiz op 3VOOR12, alleen gaat het nóg sneller en zijn de rondes nóg korter.  Op maat van de ADHD-generatie gesneden, zeg maar.
